Brotherly Love Has Been Restored, Gavin Rossdale Reveals

After a brief "transitional period" 2-year-old Kingston James McGregor is warming up to big brotherhood quite nicely, says proud dad Gavin Rossdale. "He's gotten used to it now," the 42-year-old rocker revealed during a Wednesday appearance on The Bonnie Hunt Show. "But the first couple of weeks...we had to keep an eye on him." Of course, Kingston's change of heart could be attributed to the "very sweet" demeanor of his new little brother, 6-week-old Zuma Nesta Rock. Gavin said that his second son with wife Gwen Stefani "is really mellow" and "doesn't make much noise."

"Half the time, you're like...'Oh right! There's a baby over there.' [Zuma] is easygoing, just like his mom."

With Gwen and Gavin -- whose debut solo album Wanderlust is in stores now -- as parents, Kingston "for sure" appears to be inheriting their love of music. He received a drum kit for his second birthday, loves to sing along with dad when he's recording in the studio, and his obsession with The Jungle Book remains in full effect. In fact, Gavin says that he and Gwen often use the marching song from the book to "bring [Kingston] back in line." "He likes it about 17 times every morning," Gavin said with a laugh. "I don't need to ever hear it again in my life. I used to love it but now I can't stand it." Kingston has even been treated to a few of Gavin's concerts, watching from the wings -- where he recently put on a show of his own.

"He was dancing around at the side of the stage, and really getting into it. He has a natural rhythm. The audience, at the end of a song, would get excited, and he would take a bow. It's insane. I don't know where he gets that from!"
