Chris Evert / Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic
The 19th annual edition of the Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic will be staged October 31 through November 2, 2008 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center and the Boca Raton Resort and Club in South Florida.
Since its inception in 1999, stars from the tennis and entertainment worlds have come to South Florida to raise funds for programs to fight drug abuse and assist neglected and abused children in Florida. To date, the Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity has raised more than $16.8 million.
Tennis Classic
Two days of tennis action will be played November 1 and 2 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. The tennis competition is scheduled for 11 a.m. on both Saturday, Nov. 1, and Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. The 2008 field will be announced in the coming months.

In past years the event has featured tennis legends and standouts Martina Navratilova, John McEnroe, Anna Kournikova, Jim Courier, Jana Novotna, Lindsay Davenport, Luke Jensen and Murphy Jensen; former President George H. W. Bush; actors Matthew Perry, Scott Foley, Chevy Chase, Jon Lovitz and Maeve Quinlan; musician Gavin Rossdale; golfing great Greg Norman; newsman Stone Phillips and other greats from the worlds of tennis and entertainment.
Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Gala
The annual Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Gala, presented by Esurance, will feature an evening of music, silent and live auctions and dinner and dancing at the renowned Boca Raton Resort and Club. Individual tickets and patron packages for the Gala, ranging from $750 to $35,000, are currently available through Chris Evert Charities.
Past featured entertainers have included Gloria Estefan, Kenny Loggins, Gladys Knight and Sheena Easton Tickets for the 2008 Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic, held in association with the Chris Evert Children’s Hospital at Broward General, are currently available through Chris Evert Charities at 561-394-2400.
